Super-consistent Ocean Park gelding Toesonthenose scored a resounding win at Randwick on Anzac Day in what will be his last race for Mark Newnham, who is re-locating to Hong Kong. Tom Sherry gave him a perfect run in transit which saw him take control in the straight and win comfortably.  Toesonthenose will now make a smooth and quick transition straight into the stables of his new trainer, John Sargent.

That was a brilliant s win from "Toes", he is in terrific form and loving his racing, it was an honour to have him lining up at Randwick on Anzac Day and we are very grateful for the fantastic job that Mark Newnham has done with up till now,"  said Tricolours Director, James Moss. "He is such a genuine racehorse and is progressing all the time.  He may get out to 1800m / 2000m in time as his breeding suggests, which would option up a lot of options. Exciting times ahead !"

The next race for Toesonthenose is currently being planned by John Sargent. He is certainly a horse to follow. Career stats are now 10: 3-2-3
