Written By colt The Novelist has completed an extended spell and is set to return back into work with Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott to commence his prep for the Spring Carnival. 

The Novelist, who has an all-female ownership, was one of the highly fancied runners leading into the Magic Millions 2YO Classic in January. However he had an injury setback which ruled him out of the race and the entire Autumn Carnival. He has now recovered from his injury and is in terrific order and ready to resume his racing career.

"It's incredibly exciting to see The Novelist on his way back, he could have been anything as a 2 year old, and it was very unfortunate he sustained the injury at that time", said James Moss Director of Tricolours. "However it's onwards and upwards from here, and we are really looking forward to seeing him back racing for his 3 year old season".
